Today, while the Group of Ministers held a meeting on fire safety, yet another fire broke out in the metropolis — a striking irony. Responding to Taaza TV's question, Mayor Firhad Hakim said that the fire at Marwari Relief Society in Burrabazar was brought under control by three fire engines. “I’ve heard that the maternity ward was affected. We are currently preparing a fire safety SOP that will include fire audits and fire drills,” he stated.
